part time senator now

Oh look, the dems are just one person short for what they need passed for the millionth time, even tho they got the seats. How you win and still choose to lose everytime.

:mjlol: :laff:
we dems gonna get screwed by another old politician who doesn't know when to quit.:francis:
Jesus christ just retire already!!! :hhh:

She announced again that she's not retiring:

Also, Pelosi is a fukking clown:

Rep. Nancy Pelosi, the former House speaker and Feinstein's fellow California Democrat, wondered aloud whether calls for the senator to step aside were born out of sexism.

“It’s interesting to me. I don’t know what political agendas are at work that are going after Sen. Feinstein in that way. I’ve never seen them go after a man who was sick in the Senate in that way,” Pelosi told reporters on Wednesday.

Democrats ask the public for support to get more members

We give it to them

One dem starts trolling and they no longer have the numbers they were given by the public

I don't know how anyone can believe in this political system that's clearly co dependent on stagnation

Can we at least keep this to a serious conversation? :comeon:

They can't pass any progressive bills regardless of whether Feinstein is there or not, they don't have the House. The thing this is keeping them from doing is confirming judges. If you think the Dems purposely devised this strategy to avoid their own judge confirmations, you're a little too ridiculous.

I think he’s saying that the Democrats are reactionaries and if we voted for Republicans we would have more stable governance…,

What would it take for that to happen realistically re term limits?

I have a feeling you couldn’t legally do it based on age

:manny:

A lower age limit is right there in the Constitution, so how would an upper age limit be unconstitutional? You can't say discriminating by age is unconstitutional when the Constitution itself already does it explicitly.

The main thing stopping it is old people would complain, and they vote and donate to candidates more reliably.

You’re a bright guy I’m sure you can think of some sensible reasons there’s a starting age or are you advocating get rid of those as well? I can’t tell.

Should Dan not be a congressman because he lost an eye or Tammy not be a senator because she’s in a wheelchair?

Should we have it so old people can’t vote or donate?

I personally think only the government should fund elections/candidates here but scotus disagrees.

How is having a minimum age of 35 to be president less arbitrary than having a maximum age of 75?

And you're acting like this is some weird idea when there are already other countries that have maximum ages for presidents, mayors, supreme court justices, etc. Heck, some US states already have their own maximum ages for State justices.

I was really Looking forward to Chief Thomas testimony

Democrats can’t govern. Darth McConnell would’ve replaced her ass so damn fast with an 18 year old senator :martin:
