I understand it's frustrating as a Democrat but I do want to push back slightly on the "dems can't do anything right" narrative.

I think this type of thing is just an example of a more polarized congress and the what happens when power isn't decisively in Dems/Republicans corner. The same thing was happening under Susan Collins and Murkowski during the last administration as well.

What is promising is that in spite of having such a large tent, the vast majority thinks it's time for her to move on.

California voters should NOT have re-elected her in either 2012 or 2018 (especially 2018). She wasn't even endorsed by the California Democratic Party in 2018. Most voters just vote based on name recognition.

You can't always blame the politicians. Sometimes, voters are either stupid, not paying attention - or both :yeshrug:
