this dude says it bestI hate thinking about it.....
Easily a top comedian, But it seem like he disappeared right at his apex
His show was the GOAT comedy show in my opinion
Everything after that has been
because there ain't any legit examples...stop reaching for shyt that ain't there
GroundBreaking Social Commentary like its never been done before...
I respect Chappelle for standing up for what he believed in no matter what people said or thought
he left the game ON TOP and he taught us a lesson about integrity and sacrifice
he also taught us to look behind the curtain.....to realize the difference between reality and entertainment...
he also encouraged us to SEEK THE TRUTH!!!!
in short, i feel bad laughing sometimes and i can't tell if he sold out or if i'm the one that is in denial, ya feel tho? i'm leaning toward your side but do you know what i mean?
he used "peanut butter and crack sandwich" as an example...how is that c00ning when the character is a crackhead?it's plausible. stop trying to stagnate argument and just state your opinion. life isn't all about race and sex but those are major themes for chappelle or (insert tantamount black comic of the day). not saying he's c00ning, quite the opposite, but it's not irrefutable breh.
In hindsight the show should join the ranks of the 70s Blaxploitation movies of cringe worthy c00ning.
Boondocks is still cool though
Most black people are in denial. Myself included especially when it comes to rap. Chappelle show was c00ning no doubt. The black white supremacists, the usage of the n-word, the extradition of certain black folks out of the black race. shyt was terrible. Dave acknowledges it for what it is and so do I.
he didn't leave, thoj.
the intent matters should be taken into consideration. it's not his fault if people skew the satire. what is was supposed to be didn't shine through. it was subtle, which adds to his genius (not flattery, just a webster definition). the public fukked up the message.
what do you mean?
And that ultimately falls on the artist if his message is lost. ..
