I like the idea of a pool instead of a bracket so these are the groups

it same opponents you would have faced in the bracket

Best of 5
Top 2 Points Leader in each group advances

Then the Top 8 face in double elimination bracket


Points: points are determined by wins

ex. player A vs player B series 3-2

then player A gets 3 points

points player B gets 2 points

Tie: 1 game to determine who advances
