Rather disappointing tbh. Kinda glad I didn't spend money and risk contracting Covid to see this. To crudely sum this up, everything is happening st the same time. As a matter of fact, its already happened...you just don't know it yet. The core storyline in it is nothing that impressed me, and I sincerely feel sorry for anyone that watched this in a theater because the sound direction is absolutely atrocious. It's like Noland plays his games with the music and effects maxed out with the dialogue on like 4. Not that it matters though considering the majority of the dialogue is yet again exposition. Some cool action sequences but other than that...meh.
Not much of a risk when there were only 3 people in the whole theater and this was the early screening first preview that sun or mon before:troll:

Finished black list until the last episode on cartoon due to Carona , currently watching animal kingdom it’s good but I don’t like the overly gay activity and weird touchy vibe smurf has with her sons :dame:

Better than I thought it'd be and Betty Gilpin... I get it. I also watch GLOW but still, I get it.

C/S on Betty Gilpin :ehh:

I just finished watching it, about to cancel Cinemax now that Warrior is over. I thought it was alright, some of the action was cool and it had some humorous moments :lolbron:, but it wasn't subtle at all with its message and could have used some better characters besides her. Cool seeing Dennis from Always Sunny pop up though.

an ok documentary. some sad stuff. i used to eat this stuff up but the older i get the more i ask what is the point? nothing really unique or perceptive about the social problems it focuses on. you watch enough ghetto documentaries that make no real statements about why this is happening or what can be done about it and you have to wonder at what point is this just poverty porn. the people who make these things just go on with their lives feeling good about this thing they did years ago.

Police, also known by the equally dull title Night Shift, shows us the lives of three police officers during a single day. Each of them has their own personal issues going on, quietly shown through flashbacks and overlapping scenes told from each officer's perspective. It all comes together when they take up the task to extend their shift and escort an illegal immigrant to the airport for deportation. During the trip the personal frustrations of their lives start to reach a boiling point as doubts grow over the righteousness of their task at hand. It's well put together and well acted, as to be expected from an Anne Fontaine film, but much like her other films it also lacks a bit of dramatic "oomph". It probably also doesn't help the film that it attempts to humanize police officers in a time period where civil unrest in France is at an all-time high. Even I couldn't ignore that this just feels like the wrong story to tell at the wrong time and I consider myself very capable of putting things in neutral perspective. At any other time it makes for a decent enough drama though.

dead dont die was horrible

Was hype for this and was quite disappointed.

Just watched Jusqu'au déclin (The Decline) on Netflix, pretty good thriller among survivalists in Quebec.

(Obviously I watched it in french. The dubbing already sounds horrible in the preview :hhh:)
