Not the best story, but I liked the island setting and the main performance by Kiersey Clemmons was good
. There are some moments I felt the tension could have been higher, but I've seen worse movies on Netflix.

great movie that dragged in parts. Cinematography, soundtrack, story and acting are top notch
for most of the movie.

It worked better on the rewatch for me once I saw it from Lionel's perspective. I still think the show is better since they were able to flesh out those vibrant background characters in Reggie, Joelle and others.

Los Ingobernables de Sala de Cine
Drama about a rebellious female student in Algeria who sells homemade dresses in nightclubs during the heright of the Algerian Civil War. Her dream to become a designer becomes more and more challenging as the increase of violent islam extremism takes hold of her surroundings and it's not long before it's no longer just her dream that's threatened but her very life. Led by strong performances (in particular from rising star Lyna Khoudri) and some hard hitting and intense moments it's a really effective drama for what's ultimately a quite straight forward story.
