:whew:
still probably my fav horror film
Like The Shining but with more action

Makes it look like an AMC show :lolbron:
Also makes me wish it was in color; say what you will, color is an important part of a film and would've made a lot of films better.
Imagine Chinatown in B&W? Slightly worse, amirite?Yeah
Not to mention just how many directors there were back then who boiled down adventure to a science: I'd kill to have anything close to the Carpenter, Spielberg, Henson, Gilliam and Verhoeven run of the '80s and '90s. Only thing close to that now is Marvel movies and even those are hit and miss. But a lot of those Adventure movies in the '80s bombed :heh:

No, you're wrong on this. B&W films are still amazing and I wouldn't want them colorized. If ain't your thing, then cool, but we ain't down with that just because you suggest it lol

Yo, I want that poster :whoo:

me too :whew:

The Big Sleep isn't on Blu-Ray? :mindblown:
70th Anniversary next year, WB
warner bros is notorious for slacking on catalog titles and just re-releasing the same fukkin movies on blu.

as i've said a few times on here the bogie and bacall collection is supposedly rumored for this year but i'll believe it when i see it

warner bros couldn't even get My Fair Lady 50th Anniversary out on the 50th anniversary..and 3 months later we still have no release date in sight

What We Do In The Shadows barely made it into my top 10. The two creative minds behind that movie (writers, directors, actors) are gonna be major!

There's a lot of year left obviously, but it's got a hell of a chance to be in my top 10 next year

"CitizenFour", Laura Poitras' film on Edward Snowden, wins Oscar for Best Documentary

Date: Monday, 23-Feb-2015 01:42:51

I was pleasantly surprised when "CitizenFour" won for Best Documentary, but Oscars host Neil Patrick Harris was quick to put a negative spin on the win by quipping that, "unfortunately, the subject of the film, Edward Snowden, was unable to attend tonight for some treason".

That was Lindsay Mills, Edward Snowden's pole-dancer girlfriend, to the right of Glenn Greenwald during Oscar acceptance

Apparently Ms. Mills flew in from Moscow to attend the Oscars with the CitizenFour team. (Lest you think you uncharitable of me to refer to her profession, a Google image search should demonstrate that she is not shy about it at all.
