Tried to touch on many big ideas, didn't focus intently on any.

Could have been an all-timer given the performances and potential of the story.

I thought it started out great, then got kinda 'meh' and ended on a similar note. It mostly (solely) works as a depiction of poverty struck Italy, but beyond that it doesn't really acoomplish any standout cinematic achievements.

No doubt. I enjoyed it A LOT more than Enemy...a similarly themed doppelganger movie
