I have to say more about the opening scene and movie from Red Dawn

in the movie NATO fell apart and America had no allies

America takes for granted that we're in the Western Hemisphere bordered by Mexico and lame Canada

so we never thought Russians and Cubans would invade by putting feet on American soil

it said in the movie the reason didn't nuke the US because they wanted to capture it in one piece, and they knew America wouldn't use nukes on their own soil

I'm glad I was a child when the American/Soviet Union had that super power had all that tension

oh and to top it off, they had Superfly playing a Cuban officer, he did a great job in the movie

They Live

it's one of the dopest alien movies of all-time

I've seen it a million times but I'm in the mood to watch it again tonight

if you haven't seen it I highly recommend it, and put the young heads into this classic too

"I have come to chew bubble gum and kick a$$, and I am all out of bubble gum"

:dead:

edit...watching They Live right now, what an intelligent alien movie

this is some Downtown Abbey shyt with some colorful language. So much so that I had to turn into my father and tell the movie to chill out.

But I get it. The movie is a metaphor for repression, and we all should have an opportunity to scream at the walls. 9/10

Loved Red Dawn growing up. Watched it not that long ago, still holds up for the most part.

Avenge me!

Had so much potential and it just didn't work, it was like a student film. Didn't help that it was extra Canadian, while being set in Canada.
