As a former Ninja Turtles Stan when I was a youth in the 90's, I've got to accept that the cartoon/movie version of Ninja Turtles movies aren't being made for the adult me in mind, but I don't even know if the kid version of me would accept whatever the fukk this shyt was. I mean, It ain't bad and I didn't see the first one (It's not on Netflix and I only watched this 'cause it's leaving and I had a kid to baby sit) but I'm almost insulted by this shyt, while still being somewhat entertained by it..albiet at a base level. Casey Jone's a goober police man. Shredder is a brooding Japanese psychopath, April O'neil is a "Bombshell" with brains and all four turtles fall directly into their stereotypes on a mildly interesting level, I won't even explain the shyts. But once again, this is for kids and young adults who never grew up with what I had, so I can't even be all the way mad at it, especially since I got Last Ronin and the Ninja Turtles Beatem up that launched last year. Ain't mad at Bebop and Rocksteady, though. Good casting for some dumb fun.​

I might have it loaded up on plex if I need more kid watching fodder. Shredder/Krang were the focus but practically footnotes in the whole shyt, it felt so weird.​

Just saw Love Lies Bleeding. A24 scores another one. This was one of the rawest, sexiest, and craziest movies I’ve seen. Really great acting, storytelling, and writing. Katy O’Brian is a revelation and Ed Harris is scary AF here. Two thumbs up. 9/10

A little more than 90 minute romp about dilldoes which somehow works, probably because some hot chick taking her shiet off every ten minutes. Next to no nudity though. 8/10

it's funny because i remember in the early 90s, they'd advertise this movie on saturdays or sundays as the afternoon movie. never watched it until now but i remember thinking to myself, even when i was that young, only billie jean i know is that one michael jackson be talking about, so i always laughed off the movie.

also, just realized the woman who played supergirl in the 80s film (Helen Slater) is the same woman playing Billie Jean in this movie.

The good news is this movie is just 90 minutes so it's over before it gets annoying. I wouldn't necessarily call it a heist film because the heist itself is a series of coincidences that the film itself says is just lucky. It's more about ppl getting older and more Intolerable as they age, a subject I'm very familiar with. Wasn't crazy about all the fat dudes walking around with they shirt off but it was entertaining enough, 7/10.

Oh, the Paramount plus prequel, it's alright, they definitely take the five personalities in this film and make them younger. The setting is meant to be anachronistic late 80s early 90s. I'm still chewing on that, I'll get back to ya.

British gangster films aren’t usually my thing, but I highly fukked with this one. Beautifully shot, and this is another one where I swear I can feel the heat radiating through the screen. But I think the fact it’s more of a character study, rather than the conventional heist flick like you alluded is what puts it over the top for me. It being directed by Jonathan Glazer, one of my favorite directors ever, is another bonus. Interesting seeing the likes of him, Jonze, Araki, and Fincher go from showcasing their talents in MTV music videos to turning into the artists they are known to be these days.

Ben Kingsley gave a terrifying, monster performance as Don Logan. McShane’s isn’t as batshyt crazy, but he still gave off those death glares that surely would’ve made me want to re-evaluate my own actions if I was in Winstone’s shoes. Quiet, calculating, and doesn’t need to be hyper-profane to get a point across. Both were incredibly menacing in their own ways here.
