Essential Coli-members what's the last thing you watched?

Film is a sort of prequel to Furie that came out in 2019. I enjoyed Furie more. It gets off to a quick pace, but some of that quickness extends to the action which I would have liked the camera to slow down some. A lot of quick cuts and close-ups in spots where I would have wanted to see the action from a distance. There are some brutal kills and the story is bleak with, what the characters go through/are fighting against.

I remember seeing bits and pieces of this movie on "Skinamax" as a child and was wild curious (in more ways than one ). Yet, finally seeing this flicks, it's a unique take on the struggles of somebody struggling with beliefs and dealing with sins of the father.

This has some of the best editing ever. Extremely fragmented and experiemtnal style of editing, and such a disturbing depiction of a toxic relationship.

Art Garfunkal is a weird choice for the lead, but he does have a certain natural unlikability which fits the character in the end. And my lord Theresa Russell is bad bytch

Thought this movie was going to be dated and aged like crap, but ooooweee this OG version making me question the 83 version. My mans out here was just a slithering shytbird, while Tony Montana was just a over the top super villain.

Terrible. There was too much focus on new characters and on LGBTQ issues that caused the main stories to suffer. I don't mind it (unlike other Coli brehs) but I don't like it when it feels like they're ticking a box and they tried to represent every thing and it didn't work.

Engaging crime drama that immerses you into a dangerous world from the pov of a pretty naive character. Viggo Mortensen is really good in his role.

Movie way friskier than I remember, should be at home on #Cinemax Maria Bello was playing both sides, to her benefit and ours. I like the fact that it's more realistic than idealistic, in spite of the fairy tale ending. 9/10
