Listen, im all up for experimental and art house shyt, when its done properly and not like some student pretenticious troll crap, then Appalauds.

This 100 min borefest with some strong creepy elements such as the sound deisgn and one or two visuals couldnt save it although i left the screening quite puzzled and disturbed, did it serve its purpose? Maybe but this was not a Film and should have not been allowed to be shown in the movie theatres..it would have worked as fukking exhibition of some sort?

Hilarious, especially the shootout. The antagonist was great. Some parts could've been taken out and replaced with backstory. I wouldn't mind a prequel.

Though the plot was unoriginal I still liked it more than the first one. Only thing I had a problem with was the cliché teenage girl. Could've went with a better more attractive actress as Major Turner too.

Really good movie about Senegalese men who were forced to fight for France. Really well done, and it mostly focuses on the relationship between father and son, which is dope. Also it's almost entirely in Pulaar. Omar Sy excels at these more serious roles.

's daughter getting her Manson Family shyt on. :picard:

Kiernan was so good in this though. Emma did her thing too but there was no one that could have played their role better than Shipka here. I'm a sucker for slow-burn, dread filled horror and this hit all the right notes in that lane. The bleak atmosphere drips and even during moments of conversation, it felt like something just wasn't right in the air. Enjoyed the commentary on loneliness and addiction with its themes, which right away told me it wasn't the typical, cookie-cutter possession film. If I had to pick companion films for this, it would have to be Hereditary and The House of the Devil. That first scene at the furnace is the kind of stuff nightmare fuel is made of.

Watched on HBO Max last night. Lot's of hype for this and I knew the basic premise, but the story went in some unexpected ways :ohhh:. Nice mixture of comedy and sadness, looked up some of the themes I might have missed after watching. Knew the sister character looked familiar, didn't realize Mike's daughter-in-law for BB/BCS is Irish (Kerry Condon) :leon:.

Anyone remember a YT flick called "The Buttercream Gang"? It was 'Required' viewing way back in Sunday school. 🙄I remember I got in trouble for making snide jokes at how they all referred to themselves as "Buttercreamers" 😏

House Party (2023) - :mjlol: /10

Bruh :dead:

No lie…with how classic the original one was, they kinda had to go this route.

There was a lot of faults with the pacing/writing/etc but I was entertained fukk it.

Also, the jokes in the bloopers shoulda been in the movie. They played it way too safe compared to what was in the bloopers.

Another film I've heard referenced a ton, but never seen until tonight. Mark Walhberg looks young in the film, has a ton of familiar people in it. Funnier than I expected, Dirk was really into karate :skip:.
