Watched Minority Report last night for the first time in years. I never realized how cheesy and over dramatic it was. The chase scene has to be one of the most unrealistic chases I've ever seen lol.

Watched this last night on Starz. I thought it was cool, definitely more aimed at kids and you could tell the Stranger Things influence.

This is probably the most predictable, paint by the numbers action film I've seen in years but that ending? That was so horrendous, it makes even a 4/10 generous. Why this was on Esquire's Best Action Movies of 2022, I will never know.

Revolutions was a huge step down from the previous two.

fukk Lars Von Trier but I ended up having a double feature between this and Melancholia the other night. Them Selma songs from Björk were the real MVP. I don't really mess with musicals like that but the way it blended those child-like, fantastical numbers in contrast to the main character's harsh reality kept me engaged throughout. For a film that is ultimately one big punch to the gut, it would've been hard for me to find some semblance of beauty in the story without them.

see this film brehs especially if you a dad:wow::mjcry:

Was kinda mid, just checked it out. I even have a camcorder and polaroid camera that I use to capture moments with my kids for more of a vintage aesthetic and this still didn't hit for me.

This joint had shades of American History X in it, but swap Tony Kaye for the Safdie Brothers. This isn’t a typical horror film, though the reality of the situation and knowing there are people like this in the real world is the part that’s horrifying. Solid one-off watch but not the kind of film I’m rushing to ever recommend to my friends.

Went into this one blind expecting some spooky shyt to pop off. Didn’t get that. Instead, I was greeted with the reveal of a swastika pie that completely took me by surprise and had me feeling all kinds of discomfort. This was the moment I knew I was in for something truly demented. :picard:

As far as the ending goes, I liked that they left it ambiguous with a glimmer of hope. Sadly, and just judging by how fukked things are in society today, the likelihood of those white women escaping with a light sentencing is high. :snoop:
