OK remake of the original danish movie. The original did seem bleaker. Gylenhaal shines as usual. There was no real reason for the remake as it doesn't bring anything to the table if you saw the original, but it is what it is.

I think the movie is worth a rewatch just based off Benecio Del Toros character and performance. I can watch Sicario almost everytime it comes on. Something about the tone of that flick and the crazy ending gets me everytime.

There were some legit Goosebump level scares in there, while the novel had the Losers suffering far, far worse trauma from Pennywise.

Yeah it's not really scary. The surround sound makes it better than what it is for me. I tried watching it in 2017 before I had my setup but gave up.
