This is his last year of arbitration. After next season, he will officially be a free agent.
He'll go crazy next season, probably put up 30/30

Andabout K-O-B being 'main commissioner'......what happened there?
That's what Pujols went for?
I mean Castro as an 8th rounder is nice...but Ellsbury?AND you gave up the better pick?
Shiiiit, you wanted a 2nd from me
I thought a Top 5 3B with 23rd round keeper value would be more interesting![]()
I feel like I won when I traded Pujols for a 1st rounder AND Goldschmidt.
Goldy (8th round Keeper for 2 more years): 108/361 51 16 61 11 .299 .358
Pujols (Can't be kept): 124/446 64 25 78 8 .278 .341
Oh...and I've put some more thought into how we might add some minor leaguers to this league.
First, it would have to be done OFF Yahoo because of the site's limitations. I'd be happy to keep track of the rosters and we'd simply need to allow the commissioner the ability to change rosters when necessary.
OK, next year, AFTER the main draft, I propose we have a minor league draft. It can be done in a chat somewhere...or even just a slow draft on the board. The idea is that it's a place to stash players who went undrafted and haven't yet been called up.
The draft would be 4 or 5 rounds, and we can either do a snake draft based on previous season record or a randomly chosen order. Anyone prospect who wasn't drafted in the main draft is eligible. Once rosters are set, you can not Add/Drop from it unless calling a player up to your main roster (which would require the dropping of someone there, obviously). During the season, no one can add prospects from a "waiver wire"...this is so no one is forced to keep up with the minors all season if they don't want to. The only time to add players to your "farm" is through the draft or trades.
Prospects obviously can be traded...and subsequently kept on the new owners minor league roster.
We'd have to agree on a set point where prospects must be called up. We can use or own innings/at-bat totals....or we can use rookie eligibility....which is 50 IP/130 ABs I believe. Once a player hits that mark, the owner has a timeframe to call them up drop them (to the league waiver wire or FA pool). We can use anything from one month to one year. Or we can just use the end of that season...so no prospect without rookie eligibility can be stashed on the minor league roster. And obviously these players wouldn't count towards your keepers unless kept on the main roster.
Those are the basic guidelines.......I think.
Anyone else interested in doing this?
