Put a lil bit of grapeseed oil and chop up some garlic and let it brown throw in some white oe Yellow onions and let it brown it add a little wine and you'll have something poppin veg stock or chicken stock goes a long way. There's several ways to finess it.

Or sometimes we make our own rub with onions garlic peppers touch of salt and oil to preserve it and its a go.
I'm not sure why you are giving me recipes, but I'll always take tips and tricks lol

She's right. Garlic and actual spices are far more important than dumping sodium powder on your food. I use salt, black pepper, garlic, fresh rosemary, fresh thyme, fresh ginger, and chilis on a variety of my dishes. Butter too.

Americans associate high sodium levels with food, so if that shyt isn't present their body rejects it. That's a bad thing. And it's even worse for black people, who died more than anyone from high blood pressure and heart disease. How many funeral receptions have we been to for people who died of that shyt, and all the food being served is the exact type of shyt that killed them. Candy yams with a full packet of marsh mellows thrown in for no reason. Fried chicken bathed in salt. Overly salty greens. Brehs on the forum want to laugh at Lizzo for being obese but don't want to say anything about this?

I figured. I'm not misguided, and it is semantics. You consider any flavor component seasoning, I don't. Easy peasy. But you "didn't read" my explanation of that, even though you've read every other thing I've written, which seems completely true. So it seems like we're done here.

The seasoning is the salt/sugar/herb/spice. Vegetables are often desiccated and mixed in to augment the flavor profile of the seasoning. The vegetable itself is not the seasoning.

In theory, you could take a vegetable like broccoli, desiccate it, grind it up, mix it with salt/spices/herbs and make a "broccoli seasoning powder" (just an example, I would never do this lol). But that would be different from simply adding broccoli to the dish.

It sounds like to me people are conflating flavor with seasoning. But I'm not into cooking like that so I may be wrong.

The "seasoning police" might just be the zestiest way I've heard someone describe melanated folks. She might've said she wasn't talking about black folk, but I'm sure they are the ones who got her incensed.

Curious to see what culinary catastrophe originally got her fired up.
