Orton has been complacent for years so at what rate did he actually have to improve? I commend him for not making excuses for his run in the company but lets not act like every person has the same opportunity to grow as others.

Is it as bad as most people suggest? Hell no. Is it because these guys come from NXT? Probably not. But to suggest that these guys fail SOLELY on their own merits is complete bullshyt.

What I love is that he brought up Balor's push in 2016, but then conveniently left out the part where the company has done almost nothing with him since then.

But I guess he just wasn't working hard enough.

Maybe not the right thread for it... but I gotta respect what Cody has done since leaving the E.

He saw he wasn't going to be utilized to his satisfaction, so instead of collecting an easy check or fading into obscurity..he bounced and hustled his way up. He's becoming a legit star now. Merch does numbers and he's nailing his over the top comic book villain character. He will 100% return to the E one day on his terms.

I was never really much of a fan... still aint really... but I respect the hustle. Every other mid card talent* that has left or been deavored the last 5 years has flopped.


*Punk wasn't midcard... and well he got paid I guess.
