Seems those boys from njpw got the wwe midcard thinking they cam do the same thing. Its bo coincidence they all came in in high apots and suddenly top midcard guys are all leaving... They wanna proove thmselves as top draws and come back for the bigget check.

We shall see if that takes place

he's been working there for 10 years, he's probably content with the amount of money he's made.

this is a very demanding job. if you don't love what you do, what's the point.

Doesn't sound like a case of being burned out. Seems he wanted to be the higher and his time has passed. Any brehs praising this you want him to leapfrog Owens? Cesaro? Hes had multiple opportunities and he's low mid card at best. Is what it is?

Always thought Cody had potential but he kept being saddled with stupid gimmicks. Although Rhodes scholars were dope and hisee mask phase was dope.

Sad to see him go.

I can't say for certain what he would do, but I would assume going back to Cody Rhodes and at least being a midcard contender for a belt with real storylines would have probably delayed or even prevented this. Looks like he saw that there was no future in being Stardust.

Everybody does have a role to play and everyone can't be a main eventer, but at one point in the WWE, the tiers were Cena & Orton, an upper level guy Cena and Orton would beat, then everybody else. There's no "brass ring" when you run a company like that. They don't know how to sustain momentum for non-Main Event scene guys to get the crowd to invest in. During Attitude, it was just Rock, Austin and everybody else, and in the early 90's it wasn't Hogan, Macho Man, and everybody else. Credible threats were up and down the card whether World, IC, or tag team, and the WWE needs to get back to that.

I was saying this in another thread a while back.

Now, you have guys with belts and the people they're feuding with and the rest of the roster doesn't matter.

Before, you had the guys with the belts, guys feuding for a chance to fight the guys with the belts (number 1 contender), guys feuding with guys feuding for #1 contender.

I'll give WWE props. They've almost nailed the format with everyone feuding for the IC belt and The Miz pretty much being like an old school heel champ. It's made for some FIRE ASS matches with room for old feuds and everyone shines.

Nowadays when I see random ass matches/feuds like Jericho/Ambrose or Corbin/Ziggler, it really is just a step away from "Creative Has Nothing For You"

What multiple opportunities? When did Cody get pushed like Cripple H in 99? Or Blandy in 04 and 07? Or Cena in 05? Or Edge in 06?

From that letter, it's apparent they gave him the run around. Just like they gave Barrett the run around and they gave Punk the run around. ANd then they got so mad about Bryan being more over than Reigns and everyone else, they tried to make him a geek loser at Rumble 2015 and 2016.

Oh really? He seems to value himself much higher then what he actually is. If that's not a mark then what is.

How? He goes out of his way to point out that, while he wants to be a main eventer, he wants the chance to earn his shot.

Isn't that the very thing old farts like JR and Austin criticize younger guys for not doing?

He's not in the league of those guys. Is he charasmatic like Cena? Can he cut promos like Edge? Some guys are mid carders. Deal with it
