We literally don't hear about demos with any other show. Demos are for advertisers trying to sell stuff, and Bischoff already told the truth about how wrestling has a hard time with advertisers no matter the demo. We never heard demo talk in wrestling until 2019, and demos have been around for ages.
You do
Especially with Wrestling back in the day. It was never about the overall vieweship, which was impressive. It was that they were devouring the bulk share of the 18-49 demo pulling 4.5 and 3.4s. Thats why Wrestling was on the cover of TV Guide and why people said Vince had the midas touch with the youth and why these were coming to MTV and the Teen Choice Awards lol
Think about all those times you watched a news special on why wrestling was hot, go to youtube right now and find an old news story, they'll bring it up
To this day when you go to websites that release TV ratings, look how they rank what place the shows finish. Its by Demo. You can see some shows have higher overall viewers but look where they are ranked for the night, by the demo:

When media outlets release news on how a show does ratings wise it mentions the demo :
After football, CBS' 'NCIS' and NBC's 'This Is Us' lead the pack.

Sunday Night Football, This Is Us, NCIS among top shows.

From next-day snapshots to (extremely) long tail measurements, The Hollywood Reporter breaks down what different types of TV-viewing numbers mean.

Most people for decades who even discuss shows and their cancellations/renewal talk about the demo. Its something thats been around for ages
Of course over the past 20 years, shyts been diluted with more choice on tv and outside and the argument has been made that the same demo that people still value because of avertisers, those people dont watch TV like that.
Bischoff wasnt telling the whole truth with that. Advertisers were still going to Raw back in the day cause once they saw their target audience still tune rather than boycott the edgy shyt, they doubled on the sponsporships. What hes leaving out was they were under Turner and TNT was Classic Movies Channel that played some sports and they struggled with the edgy content.
