PPV returns have been UP, thats in the file cabinet and public record.

And Punk's never been the top guy. Champion yes, but never been the top guy. That's part of the problem.

PPV buys are up as a whole, because Rock increased them big with Mania 27 and 28, and did a decent increase on Survivor Series. Both of Brock's PPVs did significant increases, like 60k. The trend on shows without them are down, the general interest in the product is down, but the interest in Brock Lesnar and The Rock is still high, like it would've been in 09 or 2010 had they come back earlier. They're stars, they draw money... it's becoming a lost art.

Punk wasn't the top guy in his early title runs, but from MITB of last year to now he has been, that's a year and a half. He's had more much mic and screentime than anyone, at worst he's been co-top guy with Cena and below that when Taker/Rock/Brock are around not because of difference in mic/screentime, but because the fans treat him like an indy guy compared to them.

Sheamus in all caps was meant to draw attention to the fact that it's Sheamus... as in the 09-2010 drawing power is not some unattainable milestone to match for the "best in the world", a phrase CM Punk marks like you treat as a shoot.
