He's the top guy and face of the show, getting 2.8's instead of 2.7's isn't respectable for his position.

I understand you like his little smartass gimmick, but he has a place for that as a midcard heel. He could get some airtime every week in the midcard without being the focus of the show and hurting the credibility of the business like he is now, because the year and a half of him as the top guy has seen DECREASES in ratings and buys, except when Brock/Rock come back.

This isn't about him outperforming the attitude era, he can't even keep up with the Batista, Orton, Cena, and SHEAMUS era of 2009-2010. Punk fans turning that era into an unreachable, unrealistic milestone for the "savior of the business" is comical.

There was a glip of Raw maybe going back to 2 hours from an upcoming advertised show in the coming months but I can't find that link anymore. If there's any truth to that, it will all become public news soon enough.

More lies :heh:

PPV returns have been UP, thats in the file cabinet and public record.

And Punk's never been the top guy. Champion yes, but never been the top guy. That's part of the problem.

Lol at the Sheamus mention, and in all CAPS :leon: Thats your Mr. 2.2 but yall like him.

And you're looking at an underperforming team and saying its all the best player's fault.

I'm not saying it's all his fault. I am blaming Punk only for the segments he appears in. People act like remote controls don't exist. If people want to see Punk they can watch him and skip whatever else.

Again, I don't mind Punk. I like his character and I liked the SES character. The only thing I found to be odd is how he was attempting to carry himself as a superstar on twitter and how some have claimed he is on that level.

Sheamus wasn't getting 2.2s when he was champion of the flagship show. Before they blew him to hell with his character tweak he actually increased viewership.

Obviously you could say the same for Punk...hes never had a match draw a 2.2, though. Hilarious when you consider that most of the guys blaming Punk for that low 3rd hour are still going around acting like Sheamus is a draw.

Btw what character tweak was it that that ruined him? Unstoppable, wisecracking badass that never takes an L, thats what blew him to hell?

The difference is that Sheamus was drawing 3.3s and 3.5s. And some of these were non overrun segments. He would regularly add hundreds of thousands of viewers. Punk :usure: not so much. And being a wiseass isn't a good look for Sheamus. He's a great wrestler but people want to hate because of how much his character sucks. Daniel Bryan isn't much better, but he wasn't HHH's workout buddy so people are going to gobble up whatever shyt he's into. Sheamus needs to go back to being a straight to the point ass kicker. None of this smiling and slapping hands with kids shyt. Punk's character is ten times better than Sheamus because it actually fits him.

The Punk/Ziggler headlined 10/5 Smackdown did a 1.74. Probably would take 2.2 in a heartbeat.
