Put me on to those dope beats and/or clipse songs that validated them please. I didnt fuk with clipse. Felt they were run of the mill guys who were only poppin through association like kelis.

the re-up gang mixtapes were kinda like their most critically acclaimed releases so i dont see how they were popular because of the neptunes.

and im not saying that the clipse made the neptunes legit. im saying that they both benefited from each other. the neptunes were basically seen as commercial radio producers for the most part before they got the star trak label poppin. case-in-point, look at timbaland and the blemishes on his resume, and the fact that nobody wants an album full of timbaland beats....thus timbo could never be a tru top 10 rap producer, imo.

as for the dope beats im referring to, look no further than "lord willin" and "hell hath no fury"......but like i said, the neptunes stepped their whole game up around this time altogether period. but alot of people couldnt stand them niccas in 2000-2001. they dropped alot of wack chit and admitted it, even back then.

Now please feel me in on how the clipse helped them with anything. Connect the dots please. The truth is the neptunes have been multi genre hit makers for years and NEVER STOPPED BEING THAT. The only reason the clipse had a name is cause they stood next to musical geniuses such as the neptunes AND the only reason we're still talkin bout them is cause of kanye. "rappin prostitute, jump dikk to dikk". They're kinda like the lox. Talented spitters that dont have the IT FACTOR and gained fame solely through association. The lox name rung bells cause they were at badboy when a (dead) BIG was running shyt along with mase and puff. That situation dried up and they ran to RR (the label, they had been managed by them) to catch some of dmx's wave. That dried up and now they're back to near obscurity. Lil feature here and there but zero noteworthy solo efforts.

lets be really real, the first thing thats usually talked about when the clipse's legacy is brought up is the re-up gang, which has nothing to do with the neptunes.

lets also be really real and acknowledge that the neptunes were really a couple of commercial producers up until 2002. alot of people hated them.

lets also be really real and acknowledge the fact that most clipse fans dont even care about the neptunes all like that, and certainly dont care about kanye.

but there is a median here. we could say that the clipse beats couldve went to other rappers and just agreed on that point and it couldve been a wrap. but all this other stuff? i cant agree with that my dude. sorry.

every great producer needs somebody great to spit on their beats in order to solidify them. and by that same token, every great rapper needs some hot beats. thats basically what my point is.

the clipse showed that you could make a credible album full of neptunes beats, and that the neptunes can hold a real rap album down, and not just make goofy-sounding party beats.

the lox dried up after ruff ryders and have zero noteworthy solo efforts?:why: i usually cosign you. you must be under the whether or something. wheres my thermometer?
