I wasnt impressed by the clipse contribution to hiphop at all. 
I never actually listened till this thread but Malice verse on Popular Demand was probably one of the most honest heartfelt verses I heard in ages.

Honestly, I think his delivery is a hundred times better than what it was.
Like back he was known as MC Terra his shyt was :larry: in terms of shyttiness.
but around the Hell Hath No Fury and We got it for cheap days, he was definitely one of the best. He still has shyt that's extremely clever and raw.
Honestly, I've never been able to listen to Rozay cuz fukk it, I've always had The Clipse. Hell Hath No Fury is top 10 for me, We Got It 4 Cheap is a dope series too. Copped Lord Willin' too, classic joint even for ppl who don't know shyt about VA

Wacky i agree with alot that you say. But not this. Neptunes were solid before they blew up the clipse and actually made the clipse stars.
im saying, before the clipse album, the majority of neptunes stuff was commercial bubblegum.
when they started putting out the clipse, coldchain, fam-lay, etc, i think they earned alot more people's respect.

sure, alot of those clipse beats wouldve went to another rapper, so yea, they wouldve improved anyway. im just saying that the clipse album added validity to the neptunes. one of the knocks on timbaland is that he couldnt produce a great album.
