Sorry for my misspellings I'm on my mobile
It's a sad situation, but If that's the case, I can't fault the officer.
This is where you use common sense that just maybe this little boy WHO HAS DONE NOTHING WRONG is trying to show me the gun is fake, because well, the look in his eyes is one of straight up fear that he doesn't want to get shot.Honestly that's probably exactly what he was trying to do.

I'd love to see what people think should be the officers punishment.
Neither than I. You point some shyt like that at me or mine, I'm going to pop you, too, and ask questions later.
stop.saying.this
it.didn't.happen
Did you miss the part where I said HOWEVER and that the police are more than likely lying their asses off?

HOWEVER. Even assuming the police were telling the truth (which I doubt), they were in the wrong for coming out with guns blazing. The caller told you that the shyt was probably fake, and the kid was sitting on some fukking swings. How about, "Hey, how's it going?" or "Can we talk to you for a minute?" with your guns HOLSTERED. Then you can explain how someone called it in, and that's why you don't take the orange safety off that shyt, and everybody goes about their merry-ass way. How hard is that!?
the police never said he pointed it at them
Again, the guy only said it twice, and he said probably, which was a reasonable assumption since it was a kid on a swing. What people are ignoring is he said the kid was scaring people. That gun didn't look like the orange plastic ones I was fukking with back in the day. We can only assume the cops came at that boy guns drawn, and shyt fell apart from there. Absolute fukkups. The dude who called the popo could tell the gun was fake from across the street!
Also the kid didnt do anything wrong. Thsts a huge part of the storyThe incompetence of the Police Force in our country is astounding.
We can't subdue a 12 year old holding a BB Gun. There is no accountability and the standard for defusing a situation without deadly force is low.
"Probably"
Probably doesn't mean is fake.
An officer injured himself while they were coming up on that boy too.
The whole situation stinks like hell, and hopefully that tape drops. These police forces are far too militarized, especially when they come into black communities. We get the brunt of that shyt.
