All Star
The only classic album he has is illmatic.
LOL. Nas has one Bona-fide classic. The Lost Tapes is the only other that you can maybe consider classic without the 2000s curve.
People were expecting another Illmatic with Primo, Pete Rock and Extra P all over itI read that alot of people in 90's didn't like It Was Written because it was supposedly too commercial. I thought it was a masterpiece the first time I heard it, Nas' storytelling was . Black Girl Lost, Street Dreams, The Message, Suspect, Affirmative Action, and I Gave You Power were my favorites off that album.
And look who produced them. Nas always comes correct lyrically but production is what makes or breaks himNas's 2 best tracks are on I am. Shame about most of the rest of that album. Hush tho.

I really think he does that on purpose.right that's the thing that has plagued his career, his terrible ear for beats. Lyrically he's been on point for pretty much forever.
That's why I think he suffers in the classic department, whereas on a question of raw talent, undeniably one of the GOATs.
IWW probably only a very good album. Doesn't really do it for me vs for example hell on earth or reasonable doubt.
Stillmatic will always be part of hip hop's narrative but that's because Nas has such a major role rather than because the quality is all there imo.
So its only one: Nastradamus.

It's early breh. He's only getting one.
