Eminem hasn't released anything close to a great album. Forget classic for a second. Not even one great album.
Em being considered a top shelf rapper is Interscope marketing at its finest. In ten years people will realize that Em, while having some skill on the level of a Pharoahe Monch, was nowhere as skilled as Interscope pretended he was. And his skill was never really tested due to his bullshyt production. Lastly, to be in the GOAT convo, you have to make music that means some shyt. Em spits meaningless juvenile rhymes on the regular, but he supposedly up there with Nas and Jay?

Eminem could never pen some of the shyt found on Stress: The Extinction Agenda
Not only pen game, the voice, lyrics, the delivery, the flow. Eminem can match some of those but as an overall package? Not even close. I can name maybe a handful of rappers who can match Monch in total skill.

I'm as big a fan of of Organized Konfusion you'll ever come by. That said, Monch sans Prince Poetry has been a mixed bag. Agreed on skillset though. But Em would wash that fat/skinny latent homo if it got ugly. Trust me.
can you recommend the goat verses on Stress? I haven't heard that album in several years. It's not my style of rap but I'll like to revisit some shyt for my own knowledge.

I also think Em has said wittier shyt than Monch overall. That "how the fukk can I be white, I don't even exist" line had me
for a month when that SSLP dropped. I still think "Role Model" is the best song dude ever dropped

Monch lacks eye of the tiger. Em, being a redneck, could wash him to eye of the tiger. Both legends IMO. I'd take OK's stuff to the island in a heartbeat over Em's but Slim Anus was a thing to behold. Pause.

But remember he didn't release solo till 1999, and was rapping since the early 90s. Idk man, I'm not crazy about his body of work but in his peak era, he was borderline untouchable.

Monch's Stray Bullet verse is my favourite of all-time. He also has great verses on The Extinction Agenda and Bring It On. Check the album out again. Prince Po is amazing too.

Em is a better song writer than Monch IMO, and much better than people give him credit for when the pigeonhole him into strictly being a of that canibus/chino xl ilk where all he can do is rhyme.
