To be honest I didn't laugh that much during Anchorman when I first saw it years ago...I have a feeling Airplane and Blazing Saddles might fall flat for me and i'm sure I wouldn't find the 3 stooges funny

but that is the nature of comedy it's really limited to those of that particular era because what is funny is different after decades and centuries...who would actually find Shakespeare comedies funny today?

I think Airplane works because it's not making SPECIFIC references all of the time. Some of them are very specific to the time like a joke about Saturday Night Fever or why it's so funny that Mrs. Beaver speaks jive, but it's more about sight gags and wordplay

Raising Arizona
I watched it a few years ago for the first time and basically had this face: :ld:
Used to love that movie.... My ex was a Nic Cage fan. She did not know about Raising Arizona. So I hyped the fukk out of it. We sat down to watch..... :upsetfavre:

She tried to hold on. About 45 minutes in she looked at me like :stopitslime: this is trash.... I couldnt even argue. :sadcam:

I'll use Coli smilies to go through my Anchorman watching experience.

First time watching: :pachaha:
Second time watching: :beli:
Third time watching: :scusthov:

Was just about to write this. Don't get me wrong, the turf war and the hardone gag still got me :laff:, but shyt's boring now. Plus it exposed Steve Carell as only funny when he's Michael Scott IMO
