Came here to post this. I loved it as a kid, but I watched it a month ago and didn't crack a smile. Not Once. Men in Tights didn't hold up terribly well either; although I doubt many people consider it a classic.

Spaceballs is GOAT movie parody, it inspired Scary Movie, Epic Movie, Not Another Teen Movie, etc.

Ferris Beuller is GOAT teen comedy. All those movies still hold up. The 80s were

Was never a big fan of Star Wars, but watched that a few months back and I already forgot most about it. Massive downgrade from Blazing Saddles.

Can't blame it though. There are millions of SW parodies by now (and counting), thus killing whatever made Spaceballs special.

Hangover was never ever reall funny to begin with...Coming to america is more black people nostalgia overatting bs. Scary Movie 2. Overall comedies don't age well. THey generally represent the comedic flavor of the time and that sh1t changes. Once upon a time stuff that was hacky was funny, then it moved to more parody kinda comedy like airplane, and im gonna get you sucka. Now comedy is based off more random/strange humor like the hangover.

I tried to watch number 2 and turned it off after 10 minutes, I remember liking the 1st one, but now I wonder if I ever did?

That's exactly what happened with me.

I finished Anchorman 2, but it was so bad I'm wondering if 1 was even good.

coming to america is my favorite movie of all time. with that said, i can't knock op for his stance - even tho i want to neg his ass to oblivion at the same token . but seriously, i don't think i can take another look at that movie because its damn near everywhere. everytime im at my sisters house watching tv, its on usa, comedy central, hbo or tbs. its even on netflix. it's so stale and played out that it will have to take me years to watch it. but its my favorite movie because it hold great sentimental value.


its usually spoofs and slapstick comedies like naked gun, scary movie 2 and airplane. but there are exceptions like loaded weapon, hot shots part deux, fatal instinct.

Hangover, Wedding Crashers, Billy Madison , Anchorman(sadly I understand why we all can't fukks with it) have aged terribly.

On the flip side I still get crazy laughs from Benchwarmers, Old School, Cable Guy, Kingpin and Dumb and Dumber.
