Was the version of "who shot ya" with the last verse out before or after pac got shot. I've always felt like the last verse of that song was the one the could be interpreted as a diss, the version that was already out before pac got shot didn't have that verse. Here’s the thing which sort of disconnects me as someone who is Big’s age it was in the mix from what you guys are talking about. The streets dictated what was hot back then in hip hop and that was the real “release” date.
So when you say “who shot ya” was dropped on the orders…
First of all… Big had NO pull in bad boy to dictate what was going to be dropped.
Second… The real release date for songs was considered to be songs played on mix tapes, stretch and Bobbito, those things. Those were New York release dates. The buzz was already on the streets for that song before Pac got clapped.
I’m no universe is biggie bigger than or has ever been a bigger artist than pacImo Pac didn’t like the dude that used to sleep on his couch became a bigger artist than him.
your bald head mama is retarded
she must got her hair done at Pac's spot
As far as the DPG trailer getting shot up I do remember BIG mentioning it on the radio in hot 97 and saying something along the lines of are you gonna let these dudes continue to disrespect us
With that said I think it’s comical that Snoop and DPG tried to say that song was paying homage to NYC. It was a clear diss
