So how do you use thr Chroma Catalyst? I don't see any options at the flags to upgrade weapons.
The Lumina points you can use when a character learns a lumina skill or whatever its called, you get a message after the battle, you can equip a learned skill without having to equip the chroma as long as you have the necessary lumina points so if a skill cost 5 and you have 7 points you can equip that one + one that cost 2 if you have any.
Got to progress the story to upgrade weapons.

Might pick this up when it hits Steam Summer Sale.

How does this compare to Metaphor?
I would take the Metaphor battle system over this any day. This battle system is all about dodging and parrying and the animations are structured to try to bait you into attempting to do so to try and make you fail at it. In Metaphor you can easily restart a battle also. Metaphor is more about prepwork and strategy going into a battle with its job system. You also have MP and it’s restorable much easier than here where you have AP you earn in battle to be able to take actions.

Metaphor is the best version of press turn. I feel like this would be better if I could restart a battle in the battle because much of this is learning the enemy animations and getting your timing down.

My Maeve has been doing 9999 damage hits on multicombos since the end of chapter 1. She is BUSTED busted. Like, maybe the scaling is just off with her but she is unstoppable. It sucks that 9999 is the max damage for a hit. They really should have removed that cap. Some bosses have such a ridiculous amount of hp that even with 100% 9999 damage, it will still take 10 turns.

I noticed defenses are practically useless in this game. Anything that can hit you, will kill you in 2 hits unless you invest all your stats in defenses and wasting a turn to heal instead of damage is terrible in this game. You gotta master Parry.

I have beaten some nasty bosses by just hitting every parry for 10 straight turns.
They've shown game trailers of there being 5-digit damage hit points in the game. Probably gotta get a damage break item or something.
