I think 9999 is the cap. They definitely modding if they went higher or there is some kind of mechanic change in the late game. I have had to use multi-hits to get the full potential of my maelle because she was hitting too hard and basically lost damage in her one shot moves.

Use the virtuouso stance weapon and get it to 9 first before the rest of the party. use the passives that give a first turn boost and with no buffs, do 9999 opener. After first turn, you will need powerful to hit 9999 again but she constantly does it, especially on counters.

Just did a 9999 attack with Sciel...found 4 gestals you can fight over and over for easy XP two of them give 15k exp and 30k exp respectively and they also give you materials to get your weapons to level i think those materials are rare drops though

They've shown game trailers of there being 5-digit damage hit points in the game. Probably gotta get a damage break item or something.

Bruh. I said it before and saying it again, they've already shown footage of that cap being broken and no, it's not from a mod. It's a pictos that you get later in the game. You just haven't gotten that far yet or missed it. It's absolutely necessary for the hidden super boss in the late game.

I love the AP system for using skills. I always found the MP management in other JRPGs annoying sometimes so this is a fun change.

Is it just me or do all the other characters have synergies except the main dude. He is kind of buns

Noticed this last night when I was leveling Maelle and Sciel by themselves and they had NO problems wrecking shyt.

I mean, he's the easiest way to Mark an enemy (so far) but I don't even need him to do that with the right Pictos

I swear to god this character...

Bruh, imagine playing the game as a tester and being "man, I wish I could tame some of these enemies because their moves at lit. Especially these battle crazy mop heads with baby logic... Devs were like, say no more...
Now you get a ninja mob head with the wittiness of an expert englishman but the brain of a bird who can steal the coolest moves from literally every enemy in the game so you now have a tamer who is also absolutely hilarious.

man this game rewards the fukk out of having balls.

Just fought a chrome lunatic chick that basically one shots you if she hits you once in like a flurry at 10 attacks and she has infinite damage reduction if she is not broken and stunned. I stunlocked her with old dude and the free base attack weapon. That weapon has HALF the attack of every other weapon but people underestimate how good it is to have not just a free base attack which rewards ap. But also, the other synergies with base attack.

Dude shoots a shot to buff base attack by 50%, then the weapon buffs it by another 50%, than picto buffs of 50% attack, poweful, when attack, attack twice, +ap on attack, powerless on attack.... Suddenly, your two hit free hit does well over 6k damage and gives you 6 freaking AP PER TURN. So you spamming 7 point finishers all game. Dude is BUSTED and solo carried that fight.

But the craziest part about that fight was the reward.

BICH DROPPED A level 17 weapon for sciel. I been debating for a long time on who is the best third character but now that this dropped, nothing is even close. The highest weapons i got is 12 and they have wack passives. I can't imagine the madness she is going to be bringing with a weapon with over 1100 attack.
