Magic hands down. Shaq was MVP for his first 3 titles.Some players will make "aite" players look even better. Magic is one of those dudes. If I'm building a team, there's no question I'd take him before Kobe.
Now Bean is EASILY the better scorer and defender, but there's more to being great than just scoring and defending. Bean might be the better individual player, but this aint a game of 21 (Magic would just post Bean all day and abuse him..so it's not an outright win for Bean either if they played 21).
Both are great, but Magic is the GOAT Laker and IMO The GOAT NBA Player.

Kobe is the greatest Laker as a player. Magic will always be the Lakers icon to me, though.

MVP is a media driven award.
And again, magic has more finals MVP's but he didn't deserve the first and he played in a trash conference so it gave him more opportunities to make it to the finals.
Breh if Kobe has to face these teams in 06'
Nuggets: 37-45
Warriors: 42-40
Sonics: 39-43
He gets to the finals with EASE.

10 scoring titles, 5 MVPs, 6 FMVPs, 6 rings, 30K+ points, 30/6/6 career average. Its not even close. The only other player that has a career that's even comparable to MJ is Kareem and he wasn't even the best player on 4 of his championship teams.

Cheese Eyes was alpha dog, 6-0 in finals, shot near 50% for his career, multiple mvps, etc.
Kobe is the 2nd Greatest SG no question, but unless he gets another ring he aint the GOAT Laker.
