Saw the latest ep, well not the one from last nite the one before that. While I think this southie Boston area has gotten too much light in cinema I like what I saw from Kevin Bacon. Gonna give it a go.

That was ridiculous2nd episode is pretty good. The Church shooting felt like a scene out of New Jack City
, talk about over the top and cliche .. sheeesh
His wife is the one laundering the money; the D.A.s wife is a lawyer at the firm that represents the Reverend, then you have Kevin Bacon’s wife and her mother.
This show is ok so far. Too many obvious stereotypes and cliches making it predictable. Kevin Bacon, the alcoholic, coked out semi-suicidal cop, his emotionally neglected wife and her overbearing mother (the doctor’s phone call scene 
), the sexually inappropriate preacher, the morally/ethically conflicted D.A. from the hood, and they really need to cut back on loosely throwing out the term “smoke” ..

This show is dope so far outside of that goofy ass church shooting.. Tom Fontana is the showrunner on this and it def has that 90's feel to it similar to Homicide Life On The Streets.
The acting is really good on here Kevin Bacon is good in it b ut the surprise to me here is Aldis Hodge and Jonathan Tucker.

People need to keep in mind that while it’s an “original” take from Affleck and that writer, it’s based on real shyt that went on it Boston in the 90’s.

Season 2 focusing on Roxbury would be dope.
Ok. Tonight's episode was really good. This is a well put together ensemble cast. Aldis Hodge is really hitting his stride. The actress who plays his wife is good too. And Kevin Bacon is killing his role! I'm enjoying this like I did the first 3 seasons of Ray Donovan.
I hope Showtime renews this for a season 2. I'd be pissed if it got cancelled.
