I think the creator was talking about season 2 entering Roxbury or something. I think we'll see a shift like the WIRE in season 2, and the focus might be on the black part of Boston in season 2.

I can see that. They're definitely done with the Ryan family.

  • They cracked down on political corruption in the early 2000s.
  • South Boston is now full of yuppies. Nothing like what Whitey Bulger left behind.
  • Charlestown is still full of white trash crack/meth/heroin heads and still gets way too much shine in Boston folklore
  • Roxbury/Dorchester/Mattapan are all gentrifying.
  • North End still controlled by the Mafia. But they lay low as fukk.
Shorter answer: No.

Cape Verdeans running more of Boston than cacs are.

Never heard that bout Cape Verdeans. Whats the history on that? What are they into, drugs prostitution?

So this is a pretty small thread. Seems like nobody watches it. Is it a good show or what?

NYC and FBA Riverboat Retaliation
why dont you think it's more popular?
Because white people especially white cops hate series or movies that showcase the depths of their depravity, moral lapses and their inner dysfunction . The myth of whites as the picture of the perfect pillars of Society is completely in shambles. White people will show out in droves to see And say how inner city life is among black people - partial reason why The Wire is so popular but any of the same depiction or representation for whites by whites will never receive the same level of popular reaction.

White people dont like to be criticized - with the exception of the black district attorney and his wife ; the Lebanese investigator and the one Jewish cop practically every action taken on by whites in the show -from the white bank robbers to the politicians to Law enforcement were certified fuk ups who were fukking up their children’s lives (at least in the first season). Jackie literally killed everything he touched, physically and metaphorically. Also the story was based on the most racist mass conspiracy real life news event which affected black men of Boston; only to find out that a black man didn’t commit the crime at all- white man killed his wife; nothing to do with black people. So of course, avoidance is practiced- the ole “that was the past, get over it” stop bringing up sins of the past. Same as the series - Your Honor with Bryan Cranston. Turn about is fair play, y’all want to view “black life “ and our communities under a lens for entertainment purposes decade after decade - then the world should see how deficient your communities are as well to dispel the myth behind the movie. Every show doesn’t need to be a Friends 2.0, Lost or Grey’s Anatomy. That’s why this show gets no buzz - ain’t no white savior, ditzy quirky white girl, or Dr. McFeelGood. Everybody is a dub - I was highly entertained.
:mjlol:

Drunk and alcohol fueled cops with their addicted offspring, everybody cheating on everybody and the only educated uncompromising “hero” is a black lawyer from New York and his black attorney wife (no interracial agenda shyt ) who no one likes to take orders from due to white fragility. I expected this not to do numbers.

This last season I guess the writers had to make it more “inclusive” with the black drug dealer trope - definitely wasn’t as good as the first. Tried to mash too many plot lines together -it feel rushed and cliche. If you don’t dap me, I’ll assume you’re white - so to add to the mix, here’s another white trash epitome of the opioid epidemic that will probably go unnoticed even though it’s official. It’s City on a Hill on a 60 dose of adderral per hour with a faces of meth community organizing for all of the wrong reasons.
