What’s been your Baltimore experience?

Been there once.
We drove there with my sister and her friend to visit some old lady. Possibly around 2000.

We went upstairs..Old lady told us to sit by the window and keep a watchful eye on our car down below.
She said there was so much poverty and crime dudes would definitely check the car or us for valuables.

College friend in a catch up convo couple years back says he was in Baltimore for a day and got held up at gunpoint..says dude took the 20 dollars he had on him.

Everybody should be acquainted with their local city planning office. They usually have public, if poorly publicized, meetings and minutes online. That's how everybody else be knowing whats coming while we be surprised.


Yall got any buffer groups? Latinos? In Harlem, that's who they used.


That happened to us in Baltimore too, but, being hood folk ourselves, we weren't that uncomfortable. We calmly checked the gps while keeping an eye on the block and moved tf along.

Looked terrible tho, like the Juvenile Ha video. Poverty here ain't the same.

Shout out to Eastern Ave and Greek Town.

In city politics not so much. Not yet at least. It's mostly Black and White.

I've been noticing out in the county that a lot candidates with South Asian/Middle Eastern/Near Eastern names running for office.
These high earning people are about to out leverage us in the county politics where Black folks are still larger in numbers.

Yep. They are coming to get theirs and to protect the interests of wealthy people.
We put ourselves in such a hole with our kids being behind in education, us being unstable financially and all over the place politically.
