If UT got hit up, it'll be a bleed over effect. Then you'll hear that Texas A&M gets hit up, then UoH etc. Pretty much they won't stop at UT, unless people come together and push back against this.

I would say that University of Houston, Rice University and Texas Southern University are good schools (with TSU being decent). I don't like the direction this could possibly go, so all I can say is that hopefully you have other states in mind that you want to live in if you want your future children to be in good schools.
