BTW I will throw in San Antonio, Texas. I used to live there. Big small town so to speak and very sprawly. People are somewhat insular to you if you aren't from there and I swear people only know their surroundings within a 50 mile radius there. Different type of Blacks than I'm used to having lived in Atlanta and the Deep South. Some Blacks are cool but others are on some weird :mjpls: vibe. Large Hispanic population and almost everything is Mexican culture centric to the point of exhaustion where it's hard to find other outlets, even food options are almost only Tex-Mex and BBQ. The Hispanics there I feel worship whites also. I really felt displaced living there because everyone there was dating and popping out kids at 21-22. I would dress up in a Oxford button down and jeans and people would assume I'm dressing up and uppity or some shyt. :mjlol: People were never mean to me but they would just tolerate you at a base level and you weren't included in things. This made it hard to connect with people for the nearly 6 years I lived there and growing up I moved around a lot in the South and East.

With that being said I made some good friends there and I think it's a good tourist destination but I wouldn't want to live there again.

I have to second with Hartford/Windsor Locks.

The most soulless, depressed deranged motherfukkers in the country.

95% of the Black people are from the Caribbean, Deranged Ricans (Pretty much the ones that are too grimey for NY standards), lost Black Americans, either they are stuck in 1999 on some Ruff Ryders shyt, or straight up white washed.

The whites act like they are all on anti-depressants and suppressing rage all the time. The most demented people I have ever come across in my life, and I have been all over the world.

:pachaha:I actually want to see this shyt.

Portland. I was there just last night, downtown. I swear there’s a major mental health issue going on with the homeless population there. Every homeless person I saw was screaming out loud, shouting and talking to themselves...and it’s like a homeless person every other block so

I was there as well...shyt bugged me out...

But the transportation system is smooth as hell...

nikka it has nothing to do with Christianity. People practicing roots and Gris Gris and playing with snakes is not normal.

As for death, it’s weird to see how they bury their dead above ground because they are below sea level. shyt Is Weird.

It’s not the practice of voodoo I guess as much as the people it is who practice it. The white people who do that shyt are weird as hell and take it to extremes. Seeing covens performing rites at the St Louis Cemetery at night is definitely creepy and weird as hell

I’m from Mobile Al like 100 miles away so I grew up with a different perspective than you but I feel where you coming from

The fact you in mobile I expect you to not be so uncomfortable in NO

I don’t know nobody that does “ voodoo” down there and i got family there. Sounds like some shyt you saw on tv.

they bury the dead above ground so that way it won’t come floating back up if it floods... whats creepy about it? They’re dead, no creepier than any other cemetery. They bury the dead above ground in Baton Rouge and sometimes other places as well

Who tf is playing with snakes? What part of NO you be going to? Sounds like some tourist shyt
yea I’m been living here my whole life, Of 29 years now I don’t know anybody that practices vodo, and I never once even thought about doing no tourist shyt like touring a graveyard at night lol

DC takes the cake

First of all it’s not even apart of any state it’s its own “district”

then you add all the government entireties/buildings its creepy to me especially when you watch shyt like enemy or the state and all that those other currupt government movies :merchant:

And it’s such a transient city so don’t know if who to trust :lupe:

I live in the city. My Early Saturday morning runs give me a greater appreciation for what this city is. Running through the cemetery at sunrise is an experience.
How is it going to be for the Voodoo music festival coming up?

Won’t be any different. I literally stay a ten 10 walk from city park and the park has a bunch of black barricades so you can’t see in on what’s going on. I don’t know anybody that’s going either, it’s a tourist/white people event.
