BTW I will throw in San Antonio, Texas. I used to live there. Big small town so to speak and very sprawly. People are somewhat insular to you if you aren't from there and I swear people only know their surroundings within a 50 mile radius there. Different type of Blacks than I'm used to having lived in Atlanta and the Deep South. Some Blacks are cool but others are on some weird vibe. Large Hispanic population and almost everything is Mexican culture centric to the point of exhaustion where it's hard to find other outlets, even food options are almost only Tex-Mex and BBQ. The Hispanics there I feel worship whites also. I really felt displaced living there because everyone there was dating and popping out kids at 21-22. I would dress up in a Oxford button down and jeans and people would assume I'm dressing up and uppity or some shyt. People were never mean to me but they would just tolerate you at a base level and you weren't included in things. This made it hard to connect with people for the nearly 6 years I lived there and growing up I moved around a lot in the South and East.
With that being said I made some good friends there and I think it's a good tourist destination but I wouldn't want to live there again.
