Can we now discuss why Republicans are blocking sensible Marijuana legislation proposed by dems that will also help clear the records of millions and disproportionately affect black men targeted by the justice system?

I don't think anybody disputes that Republicans are assclowns. :yeshrug:

Problem is that Republicans control every level of government and even after midterms, they'll still control the presidency and likely the Senate (and even the House isn't a sure thing).

If the Dems make a serious effort to pass this I'll be satisfied, I can't necessarily blame them for what the GOP does.

Should be full legalization, a black market still exists with decriminalization. I have zero faith in the federal government changing any cannabis laws.
:dwillhuh:
Those bills have also been proposed in the senate and congress.

Please see my original post you quoted where I say, "Sounds good . . ." lol
You said let's see some proposed legislation suggesting you haven't seen the legislation that's already been proposed.

I'm starting to think y'all don't actually read or even keep up with some of this shyt y'all say y'all are passionate about. :patrice:

From Chuck? No , I haven't seen any proposed legislation. I'm staying on the topic of the thread . :hhh:
And while you act like we are ignoring aspects of the topic you ignore the politics most likely at play in an election year. You're not slick B.

People are criticizing people who have repeatedly proposed legalization legislation and being all talk.

:wow:
Disingenuous. There's a difference between proposing action and getting it done. Some electeds propose bills and cosponsor bills to appear progressive. Some of them would shyt themselves if such bills ever came up for a vote that had a realistic chance of passage

This is disingenuous to suggest that Schumer, Booker, and Sanders resources being dishonest with their proposals, crafted legislation, and pronouncements for the decriminalization and federal rescheduling of Marijuana.

So I ask, what do you think they Should actually being doing different to force the Republican majority to support these bills they are proposing.

Something tangible. Not this weirdo contrarian shyt.

There's no way to get any of this legislation passed without either

A.) republican support
B.) voting out republicans voting in Democrats

Im just laughing at the responses you guys are giving here compared to the responses y'all were giving in the Romney thread.

I wasn't on the site during the elections, but I'm starting to see a lot of yall were just flapping your guns. :russ:

In this thread alone we've seen team goalposts go from:

Well let's see if they actually propose legislation

To

Well let's see them do it agaib

To

Well it didn't pass so I don't trust them.

Decriminalize all drugs.

We will get there eventually, when we do, the police will have nothing to do but traffic policing, arresting people for jaywalking and other silly stuff.. Narco gangs in Latin america will rendered jobless.

We need junkies off this planet, let us hasten their removal by letting them have access to all the drugs they want and overdose.

Nanny state get out of the way.

Big tobacco must be ready to drop their version of marijuana :lupe:

Lol everyone thinks theres a green rush coming but its really already over with for the average person. Big tobacco, pharma, wine, etc are all going to steal the show. They're already on their way to taking over Cali.

Can anyone point out the main regulations in this bill? Or is this just de-scheduling pot so its decriminalized? Good either way but decriminalized leaves a huge black market and legalized creates corporate monopolies. No win for the average person business-wise. Legally its a win for all.
