that was very disappointing.

massive respect to Chuck and PE but he said a whole of nothing when he talked, especially about radio stations and record labels.

I was expecting a lot more clarity and insight from dude

Iggy is doing NOTHING for Aussie Hip Hop. Besides the accent, NO ONE in the scene here gives a fukk about her and no one accepts her even as a part of the scene. She started her career over in America anyway, she grew up in Mullimbimby which is a small town in the country.

Hilltops were featured on a CuninLynguists albums few years ago and personally I thought Bliss N Eso would be the first to get a good look in America.
she's entertainment. You're bugging in trying to expect more than that.

what about M-Phazes?

he's probably the biggest Aussie at the moment besides Iggy but because he's behind the scenes he's not as noticed. he has done an album with all Aussies & all US rappers but i think it would be a good look to do a mix, have US/Oz collabo album or something. i still think Bliss & Eso could make it to a decent level in the US but one of the members is American so he still has the accent so it's not as forced.

what did u think? it's a decent sampling of Aussie MC's some older artists and new kids as well.

Honestly i was surprised by how weak M Phazes beats were. He switched up his sound a bit from the dopeness i grew accustomed to on his stuff with Phonte and them.

Don't agree with that analogy. Everyone can speak. Not everyone is tall enough to 360 dunk on an NBA rim.
His point was people need to think rapping is so hard that they can't accomplish it. Back in the day, I know once people heard certain rappers they either quit rapping or were afraid to even try because they realized they could never be that good.

I get what he was trying to say and I agree to a point, I just think it was a bad analogy. There is a reason that a short Asian kid is not playing line backer for the New Orleans Saints and it isn't just skill.

The problem isn't that it seems easy to accomplish, it's that any delusional idiot that thinks they have something to say can record a song and upload it to a public location for people to hear with no effort or money. The ability to record and spread the music is simple and easy. It isn't like before when you needed a record deal to have your music spread around in other areas/states.

Everyone can dribble a ball but too play for real its exclusive. That asian kid might not be able to play football but he could be a pro soccer player. Ill hear people talking about how easy it is to rap, then you them hear them do it and it sounds like trash. Maybe cause its so subjective now that its possible for anyone to have fans. It could be cause theres no instruments that the perception of it is that is easy to do but lets see most people do what Mistah FAB does all the time on sway.
