If a podcast is informative and/or entertaining, the length hardly ever matters. People will listen. Joe Rogan's podcasts are typically long as hell, but people enjoy them and it's a successful popular podcast.

The way Chuck talks is like a great painter painting. It would be wrong to tell him to stop lol.

:salute: @CombatJack

Looking forward to more.

Yeah, sometimes the longer the better if it isn't forced. Because we get to hear so much real shyt. It's not like people can't listen in parts. Prodigy's audiobook is probably over 14 hours but I've listened to it countless times because it was so entertaining.

Finally got to sit down with this and I was blown away.

There's just something about listening to someone talk who you know is a smart dude and the life he lived was pure. The shyt he was saying about Pac had me feeling and thinking some shyt. You could hear the disappointment in his voice when things started falling apart in Pacs life. But so smart not to let it make him bitter. He was always willing to help and be there for Pac and do all Pac wanted to do with him, but he wasn't gonna force it.

Just the kind of man who has the perspective people need to hear. He's been through a lot of shyt but has a positive outlook and is aware that the power is with him, not the worlds words or opinions. Really inspiring.

"Only old people make up things like '50 is the new 40' or '40 is the new 30'...is 20 the new 10? is 10 the new zygote, embryo?"
"you wanna gravitate and elevate upward and be able to take the present like it is a gift. Therefore, they're synonymous..." :to:

Thank you @CombatJack for bringing us this honesty, culture and history

Finally listening

Wouldn't expect anything less from Chuck D :blessed:

I could write an essay on how radio and their Payola (especially NY) played a big part in damaging the music

But it's always been that way though, ain't nothing changed

yeah combat stepped it up. i thought the show would suffer without dallas penn, but he just transitioned more from comedy to in depth interviews and its been seamless.

NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
Kane was man. All the best rappers at their very best best feared dude. Think about it, he really birthed Jay Z. On some rap genealogy shyt, Jay's rap father had to be a bad bad man. AND his DJ, Mr. Cee birthed B.I.G. (just saying). Kane was that. His run was very short, but he set the bar so high that NO ONE has ever been able to match his impact. Only cat that was maybe at his level was Rakim. The rap gods did us dirty by not having a Kane/ Rakim battle for us to be entertained by.
I agree with this but I don't think Rakim was "maybe" on Kane's level..he was DEF on his level if not higher when it comes to the rap shyt..

The length thing too.. it being longer and being dope is even better, because it makes you come back so the show is much more in your consciousness for longer. This is probably the best episode I've heard, gonna listen more later.

And if you remember Kane was suppose to battle Rakim on RapMania back in 1990 on PPV. I wish it happened man.
