Thing is Nolan still makes movies so if he keeps this pace I gotta give it to him. Cameron just making Avatars now and they taking forever.

Nolan legit needs someone to tell him to reel it in :mjlol:
His movies tend to be so overdone that it's almost stripped of its character if that makes sense.

Somebody needs to pull him to the side and tell him it's OK to have the voices and the sound track at the same volume.

He good but I'm rocking with old school Cameron on this one.

Edit: whatever Nolan was on with the Prestige and Insomnia... He needs to tap back into that energy.

Yeah. Nolan’s line of work before Dunkirk and Tenet is broader and more consistent with good-great films IMO. Last thing Cameron has done is what? Avatar? He hasn’t done shyt in a while. Weird comparison really as these two directors make two different kinds of films. Someone mentions big action, spectacle blockbusters to me and the first two directors that come to mind are either James Cameron or Steven Spielberg. Nolan is probably the last one I think of in that realm.

I’d easily throw the reigns over to Cameron to make a big blockbuster happen, but I gotta tip my hat to Nolan for his domination in the past two decades.

Nolans movies:

Get a bunch of actors with different accents. Put them in a movie with a plot that barely makes any sense. Turn the volume up way too high. And watch the money pile up!

If your film is in English and people still have to use subtitles to know what's going on, the volume is too high. Honestly, his movies are way better with the subtitles on. Watching Tenet is like :dwillhuh: without subtitles

it's looks and sounds awesome though. Maybe he should have went the Michel Bay route ad kept it simple with the story.
The looks and sounds disguise the incoherence of the plot tho. He basically is Michael Bay in many ways, beautiful scenery but nothing in the between.

Ouch
I think Nolan is at his best when the story is simple ( Dark Knight, Dunkirk)
