If I need special features I can download those online or for commentaries I can get the full disc rip. You can get those for even blurays… it’s 2023 
This applies to more than Movies and Music.
Gone are the days that you used to own software (Microsoft Office, Photoshop, Etc...).
We no longer own things but pay for the license to use them, pretty scary.

the other argument is physical media contributes to waste and that physical media has to be shipped, pressed, and stored. But this is probably him trying to get people to buy his movies so he get more money.

for those that argue that point. Nolan is right though… for the longest time I couldn’t find the original version of dumb and dumber except the physical .. all streaming has is the worse unrated version. I’ll probly buy it when it’s in 4K bluray cause that’s my fav movie

Yea I think this saddens me the most. Every things is starting to have perpetual cost now days. Can’t just buy something and own it. Gotta constantly pay just for the right to use something.
