The Guide for the Perplexed - Wikipedia

The Guide for the Perplexed (Arabic: دلالة الحائرين‎, Dalālat al-ḥā’irīn, דלאל̈ת אלחאירין‎; Hebrew translation, Moreh Nevukhim Hebrew: מורה נבוכים‎) is a work of theology by Maimonides. It seeks to reconcile Aristotelianism with Rabbinical Jewish theology by finding rational explanations for many events in the text.

It was written in Classical Arabic using the Hebrew alphabet in the form of a three-part letter to his student, Rabbi Joseph ben Judah of Ceuta, the son of Rabbi Judah, and is the main source of Maimonides' philosophical views, as opposed to his opinions on Jewish law. A small minority believe the Guide for the Perplexed was written by an anonymous heretic and not Maimonides, most notably amongst these is the revered 18th-century scholar Jacob Emden.

Since many of the philosophical concepts, such as his view of theodicy and the relationship between philosophy and religion, are relevant beyond strictly Jewish theology, it has been the work most commonly associated with Maimonides in the non-Jewish world and it is known to have influenced several major non-Jewish philosophers.[1] Following its publication, "almost every philosophic work for the remainder of the Middle Ages cited, commented on, or criticized Maimonides' views."[2] Within Judaism, the Guide became widely popular, with many Jewish communities requesting copies of the manuscript, but also quite controversial, with some communities limiting its study or banning it altogether.

John 20:28-30

But does that mean to believe literally? The message is far more important than the details. The Bible uses many parables and symbols to describe infinite wisdom to a people not yet wise enough to understand.

The purpose of the Bible isn’t to teach history, it’s to build character. And if it was just taken literally 99% of the message would be lost which is how we end up with what we have today. A bunch of lost souls who follow blindly but have no clue what the actual message is.

People of different faiths argue and kill all because they’re focused on mundane details while completely missing the entirety of the message.

not to be crass, but this is only your opinion

if that is what you believe, then it is so.

The word of God is alive.

Nah that’s not an opinion. The Bible was not written as a history book. That’s a fact. :yeshrug:

You think the Earth is 6000 years old? :jbhmm:

That fine but you didn’t get that from any literal Bible verse :yeshrug:
you make quite a few judgments :mjpls:

Genesis 1:24-31

24 And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so.

25 And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.

30 And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.

31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

do you believe in an eternal God? or are you saying you are God? :jbhmm: Who is like God?

Yeah that’s literally not saying that literally :russ:

Everything is God and God is everything. We are all a part of The One. As Jesus taught. As Muhammad taught. These other beliefs weren’t taught by the prophets but rather other men who came later.

Paul is far more responsible for spreading modern day Christianity than Jesus. People don’t follow the message of Jesus, they follow the teachings of Paul, who never even met him.

Both Jews and Christians believe in a unique, multi-personal elohim. They differ in how that elohim revealed itself.

Muslims believe in a different being with different attributes and a different name.

The Most High is shot caller. He chose the Israelites as his crew and gave them the instructions on how to run this planet. The Most High’s laws, statutes, promises, blessings, and judgements were given to the Israelites. All the other religions is knock offs.

Paul's teaching was exactly the same as Jesus'. The Apostles, themselves, vetted him and his message.

You know this or believe this? You were there or someone told you? Was the person who told you there? What makes all the people in this infinite game of “telephone” trustworthy? :jbhmm:
