The point is, the nikka could've did this shyt years ago. It was always him holding shyt up. Actors with far more clout than Chris Tucker have took pay cuts to do small budget/indie like films. For example, Next Friday & Antoine Fisher were both produced for $12 million (which is probably what the new Friday's budget will look like) & I know Denzel aint get much for He Got Game either

This. Friday wasn't even that big when it first dropped and didn't take off till around 97. Most ppl were first exposed to Tucker in MT and RH. I dont want to see these mid 40 guys with bloated bellies and gray afros making weed jokes in 2012. Good that Tucker recognizes that too

i'm saying though, why would you restart your acting career by taking on old roles you've already done? that's stupid. that's how you pigeon hole yourself and that's all people will equate him with. he'll either be smokey, vic damone jr or detective james carter the 3rd. that's bad news for an actor considering the fact that if he reprises these roles, he'd only get 1 movie for each since they're already stretched to the limit, story wise. no one wants to see an "after last friday" or "money talks 3" or "rush hour 5", he'd only get one movie from each series and he'd pigeon hole himself. i wouldn't imagine too many people trying to pick him up for anything else unless those movies do major numbers (but i don't imagine them being any better than the originals). so, he'd be stuck in those roles if he those sequels. that's why i've been pissed ever since i've been seeing threads pop up on him doing this sequel and that sequel. i was like "what the fukk, man?"
