Mind you, it is not the Democratic politicians calling these people dumb, its overwhelmingly other voters. I knew America was dumb, but the numbers crystalize it. The above link was for the 2022 midterms BTW but we have a complete picture on that vs 2024 which is still being tallied. Mind you, its hard to argue how good a policy is when not only is the majority of America white, but a great number of them operate on white grievance politics. You can not tell them Biden has implemented something that is going to revitalize their area over the next 10 years and transform it within 20, they see eggs and gas, and while never having met a trans person thinks its a giant issue because Sinclair Broadcasting has 10 different personalities from sun up till sun down saying it is one. Education has to be fixed (Republicans don't want it to be) and more leftist media has to be proliferated but the money is going overwhelmingly to the right or right-leaning Dems. There is like 50 years of propaganda to catch up to.
Doesn't matter who is saying it, if someone hears Team Blue is calling you stupid for having certain thoughts and Team Red is saying something similar to your thinking, even if you aren't Team Red, you are going to end up saying fukk Team Blue.

sell a plan like that. You read the room and address people's immediate concerns because that is all people are going to care about until a certain level of peace is achieved. You gonna care about wanting a water bottle when your house is on fire?

The only solace from the results of the Presidential election is that no, the majority of the USA did not necessarily want Trump, he won a very close race to a candidate who only had 107 days to mount a campaign. She dropped the ball on the progressive beginnings but we know white grievance is a gigantic motivator. There is a road back from this but ping-ponging between feckless Democrats and White Supremacists in the GOP is not sustainable. We can literally have all the good in one administration stripped by the very next one out of spite. We will never progress and we lose standing on the world stage.
100% breh. I've been saying this for years. Other countries treat us in that way too. Why make a good deal when it could be gone in four years?
This system cannot continue like this, but we are in not place to change it. It would have to be a systemic movement and folks again, are very worried about them food and gas prices. Now they gotta worry about AI coming for their jobs, Student loans are back on the menu to get paid back, (mine started again this month.), Rent going up higher, paycheck goes up 1% per year, etc etc.
America was always heading this way, it will just be accelerated now and most definitely televised. Only way things swing back in the Dems favor is the Repubs consistent screw ups going way too far. But when it's back in the Dems court, will they be smart or arrogant? Time will tell.
