Looper was piff. If that's the case, Back to the future failed, the terminator series failed, and so on.
Like I said I enjoyed Looper and think it was worth the price of admission. I just didn't like some aspects of it's time travel. I'm far from some "film buff" just interested in Time Travel theories and I prefer the multiple/alternate time lines as opposed to single timeline. If any one cares I'll explain why.
My problem with Looper is it's use of the single timeline, with the way they used time travel the movie should not have ended with JGL dying. After killing himself it undoes everything that happened before. It should have ended with the movie going back to him before seeing his future self, and the mom/kid not knowing anything about him. I don't compare it to Back to the Future because thats an 80's campy type Sci Fi, and it still did a better job of tying loose ends.
In Terminator you never really see the paradox of things being changed, for all we know they may have not been intending to protect their future, only alternate ones that may occur if Connors was never born or was killed.
Which brings me to DBZ and Trunks. Anything he did in the past didn't effect his timeline. He went to alter the other timeline and get help to kill the androids in his. Which he did with the remote, but didn't need because he had gotten so strong.
Edit- Just noticed @
