Two possibilities. One: The planet might've only had a very thin layer of water at this stage of its development. Or Two: the low tide level was due to the gravitational pull of Gargantua causing massive waves that moved across the surface of the planet. Like 90% of the surface water was being displaced up into the air by immense pull of gargantua. Can anyone explain the wave scene to me a little? How does a body of water that is apparently only a couple of feet deep produce a titanic wave like that?
Is it solely because of the gravitational pull caused by being near the black hole?
The fukk?
Excellent film but I wish they would have elaborated on certain subjects in the ending. What happened to earth? His son, how in the hell did they end up orbiting Saturn? How did they transport the people? I think he could have killed a lot of nonsense and focused on those areas
I am beginning to think people are overrating 2001: A Space Odyssey a bit TOO hard. Yes, it was a revolutionary film... but lets not get carried away as if this was a realized masterpiece the moment it hitted theaters and it did not have any flaws it damn self, or the fact it is STILL one of the move confusing films ever made.
Amazing movie. I want to see it again because I feel like I definitely missed things
Nolan DA GAWD is probably the best filmmaker of our generation.

@Napoleon reads message boards then parrots other peoples thoughts in an attempt to seem intelligent. Whenever pressed to expound on things he vanishes. He has no idea what he is talking about.
This is the poster who said he wasnt black, then said he was lying and really is black.
His credibility as a poster is zero so no need to worry about whatever nonsense he is spouting
man such mixed reviews in this thread
Yup. Much less ambitious, Moon was clearer more refined experience. I liked Interstellar for going big, but as long as it was, it could've nailed every idea it had- but it didn't.Hey so can we agree Moon > Interstellar?
