Also people don't be fooled. New York has one of the few REAL Imax screens. Don't let these theaters fool you into thinking you are seeing IMAX. It has the Brand name but it's not the same screen. This is the screen I saw it on Yesterday in Manhattan:

Was it better than Prometheus

I've been one of "Prometheus" biggest defenders but Nolan did a better "Edge of the Universe" film than Ridley did. "Prothemeus" only went to 1 Planet and 1 Star System. Where as here again mutiple planet, mutiple unvierses, A Black Hole and a Worm Hole. Come on now, this is a Sci-Fi Stan's dream film.

its still a good movie....but after reading the original script...I was mos def let down

Remember the original script was a "Draft" for Steven Spielberg written by Jonathan Nolan, Chris brother. It went through obviously many changes after that. I would like to read the original script though now that I've seen the movie.

go read the script....after reading it you will wish that was what they filmed..because honestly the script just had more detail to everything....

I think this movie is worth checking by the visuals alone. It was pretty amazing.

First part of the movie before Cooper gets to NASA: :obama:

From that point until they leave the 2nd planet: :what: :ld:

From that point until Coop reunites with Murph: :blessed: :ohlawd:

The meeting with Murph and the last scene: :ld:

What bothered me the most about the movie were the transitions before every big advancement in the plot. How Coop ends up being part of the NASA project was so rushed that it didn't make much sense at all. The whole "My Cocaine's character was lying all along" part of the movie was poorly handled, same as Dr. Mann's actions (I got the character's desperation but it could've been handled way better). Also, almost every character in the movie was either not likable or impossible to invest emotionally. Besides Coop, we were never given any reason to believe anyone on the crew was actually needed. The dude that died first was :manny: Anne Hatheway was unbearable for 90% of the movie, and the black dude was just "there". Actually, the only character's worth a damn were Coop, Murph, grandpa, TARS and CASE (the two robots were way more "relatable" than most characters).

But fukk, when the movie was focused it was PIFF. I really wanted Coop to get his and save mankind :to: The only thing that bothered me about the ending was how it would've only taken 1 scene to explain what did Murph actually discovered and how it helped humans. Also, the meeting with Cooper went from :mjcry: to :ld: quick as fukk. So after thinking he was never going to see her daughter again - his driving force during the whole film - he's OK with leaving as soon as possible just because?

Anyways. It's a very bumpy road but it's till worth it.
