Because I could imagine a society in which space exploration is stymied in favor of ignorance.
That is so true, it's basically already happening now with the defunding of NASA.
Because I could imagine a society in which space exploration is stymied in favor of ignorance.
yo when this drops, someone @ me and spoil the shyt out of it, b/c im just not excited. awesome visuals, but man this still looks like a damn chore. would it kill Nolan to have a character smile in one of his movies? "why so serious?" is basically a tagline for his career. the guy makes good movies, but man... funniest moment of any of his movies was when Heath Ledger told Maggie Gyllanhaal she was beautiful.
every commercial is "Murph" (stupid fukkin name) crying, McC doing the TD scratchy mumble speak, Michael Caine being Michael Caine and laying out the grim stakes of the movie, corn field, cool looking space mountain, giant space wave, Anne Hathaway with that "fresh after crying" mug she always has, McC basically telling us he'll be back, title.
here they come, the intellectual movie viewers. i'll go watch White Chicks b/c there is no in between
Because I could imagine a society in which space exploration is stymied in favor of ignorance.
It's when i started stanning Nolan as well. What was his second best then? And tell me why Insomnia isn't a great film because that movie was the first reason I started fukking with Nolan in the first place
It's when i started stanning Nolan as well.
Does it lose points by being a remake though?
Nope because its such an amazing remake when most remakes are useless or just awful...it adds a distinct element to the story that the OG was missing...like how Let Me In did for let the Right One In
whoa whoa...that remake was unnecessary and forgettable
You're insane. Easily one of the greatest remakes in the 21st century and one of the best horror remakes ever.
are you kidding me????
It was ridiculously watered down...
You don't even remember that the original had the vampire as androgynous and even showed an integral scene to suggest as much
A part that US version conciously left out ....
Did you really just suggest this was one of the "greatest" remakes and you didnt even account for that blatant ommision
Watered down? Did you watch the same movie? Where was it watered down??? And who gives a fukk if they changed that one part? The story of Let me In stood on its own without having to duplicate the same damn plot points. Its an incredibly effective movie with amazing performances, great directing, and striking visuals. Chloe Grace Moretz did a great fukking job and yes, it is one of the greatest remakes ever and you haven't given one argument to suggest otherwise except for being upset that the vampire was a girl this time (which they never said in Let Me In, so let's be clear on that)
