finished the 2008 script which i hear the ending was altered but if the flick is anything like the majority of the that script, people on this board are gonna be in hog heaven. a lot of time travel, what could happen or how could that happen type of debate and discussion. i wasnt blown away but thought the ideas were cool. looking forward to the movie.

I hate people that look to critics as a barometer.

I swear metacritic/rt is the worst thing to happen to film.

The funny thing is years down the road a lot of critics change their mind on films.

Its like people forget theyre just humans, susecptible to the same bias, hype etc that everyone else is.

Some of the best movies are the ones that get torn apart by critics or are polarizing.

Fight club is one of my favorite films of all time but when that movie dropped critics shyt on it.

See the movie. Judge yourself. I only trust my opinion.

Word, critics were shytting on 2001 BIG TIME when it was first released.... now the complaint is "this ain't like 2001"....

That goes both ways though. Having high expectations and hyping a film then going to see it and it's not as good as you've been saying it would be, so people end up defending it endlessly. People who hype movies on forums are notorious for this behavior.

Posting "(insert director) does it again :blessed:" before a movie is even released. :sas2:

"we in for another masterpiece :lawd:" :sas2:

But then the movie doesn't get stellar reviews and isn't as well received as people expected, then it turns into "but but it's just polarizing some like it some hate it" :sas2:

I'm pretty sure Nolan fans would still deem it a masterpiece, regardless what others think. They would look at a blatantly bias mag like EMPIRE see that it gave it a perfect score and nothing else matters.

with it's flaws and all, I fukking love that movie. I really wish they had kept the original script though, it explained things a lot more clearly and was a direct prequel, Ridley fukked up big time there, but I love the ancient astronaut story. Although I have to say, if Fassbender had not been in it I would've liked it CONSIDERABLY less. His performance elevated that movie a lot.

Can you direct me to the original script of the movie

This flick gonna be closer to the prestige than inception in terms of discussion. Inception main thing was it all a dream?..prestige was like who what when , where and how.

if the script online is accurate, by the end u will be like :patrice: i think i get it but how did this and that happen and what happened to so and so and this thing..kinda has the whole Terminator time travel :mindblown:

we shall see what makes it to the film. the ending in the script was cool, hope they didnt change it too much.

From my understanding, Prestige, Inception, and Interstellar are all related similar to how The Wrestler and Black Swan are related thematically.

Prestige focused on magic, illusion, and mysticism vs science. Inception is as close to inner-space that one can get. Having dreams and no knowing exactly what is real. With Interstellar, it is quite the opposite where it's purely scientific, but still an exploration to the unknown to the point of it feels like something's mystical or in a dream.
